Listen, boxing is super easy...the only two punches you need to know are:-

1, Range finder jab, with this you really want to just touch the opponents gloves

2, a massive overhand right (or left)..basically straighten your arm and throw it via the widest arc you possibly can.

    3, BOOM.

If you've never boxed before, just go in there, and listen to everything the coach says, don't argue or try to act ****y. That's all you need to make a good impression really, they know you don't know what your doing, its the attitude that'll stick out more than anything.

However, just make sure you keep your hands up, chin down and try not to cross your feet. Don't get frustrated, 'cause it takes a bit of time to get even the basics down, but you'll get there as long as you work hard.

Also, visit the Training forum for tips or pointers on anything fitness or boxing related, good luck!

    Just starting out

    Hey guys,

So I'm joining a boxing club thursday and am really nervious about that, I went today to talk to the coach and he seemed cool. The senior people there look quite big, I'm 18 and weigh about 10 stone. I really want to have a good first impression with the coaches thursday, is there any pointers anyone can say so I don't look like a complete amateur ?

    Thanks
Working...
