Mark my words. This is the end of Segura's career at the elite level. I'm a fan of Segura and was actually in Mexicali for his third round destruction of Calderon; however, now that he can't make the 108 lbs., he is relinquishing his biggest advantage: size!!! Segura is so techniquely flawed that he gets hit way too much; lots of times by flush shots. He most likely will take his power with him to the 112 lbs. division; however, he may not take his chin. And even though he does take the ability to absorb punishment to the 112 lbs. division, it's one thing to get hit by Cesar Canchilla, Ivan Calderon, and Chango Vargas, and another thing to get hit by Luis Concepccion, Hernan Marquez, and Edgar Sosa!!! Can you imagine what will happen if he gets caught flush from a right-hook from Marquez? Or if Sosa catches him with one of his beautiful left-hook combinations? I can only speculate, and I could be wrong, but my guess would be that Segura would not last too long with them... I'm not saying Segura's career is over, I just think it's over at the elite level.

I saw him fight at 112 already and he didn't look so good, but that may have been due to the other guy's toughness. He didn't look so intimidating and the fight ended ugly.

he moved up one division and i bet he is still bigger than all of the guys there. Sosa doesnt have devastating power. Conception does but doesnt have the chin something segura has. Tyson marquez is a good fight. He will have a tought time but with his power and will i could see him beating most if not all these guys.

Segura has a great chance of bringing his power to higher weights. He can dominate. He would destroy Seda. I have never seen a Welterweight as slow and looping as Seda, let alone a fighter as slow as he is at his weight. Seda would not last 8 rounds with Segura. Segura would also beat Hernan Marquez, Cazares, and Rojas. But the Bantamweights with Mares, Darch, Perez, and Agbeko might be a little too big of a bite for him to take.
