Saul "Canelo" Alvarez does not want any distractions. His focus is 100% set on Britain's Ryan Rhodes, who will challenge Canelo for the WBC super welterweight world title on June 18 in Guadalajara. Trainer Jose "Chepe" Reynoso says the city of Puebla is still a possible site. Reynoso saw no reason to respond to the recent taunts from Julio César Chávez Jr., who challenged Canelo to a fall showdown.

Damn Shame how Fighters like, Money,Marteniz,Mosley,Pac,Bradley,and Many Other have to Scratch and Claw their way to the Top and Just because of who this Dude's Father is he is Glorified.....What Has he ever Done Who did he fight???We need to Stop giving this Dude The Props that we Give to the Top Champs in the Game to this Kid Until he Fights someone!!!!!

Both Canelo and Jr have very tough opponents coming up. They are stepping up in quality of opposition and I think they will fight because the money is too big for them not to.

Canelo and Jr. generate a lot of ticket sales in Mexico, they will find a way in the future to make this happen.

No way they fight anytime soon. Top Rank wants to milk Chavez Jr for all he's worth and GBP needs to get Canelo to mature, tighten up his defense and work on his technique. I don't see this fight happening for two to three years, especially as long as the cold war between TR and GBP is going on...

I agree but it will happen. Someone here said it's NEVER going to happen and there's too much money to be left on the table.

You are right, it most likely will happen at some point, I just don't think anytime soon. Plus Rhodes and Zbik are no push overs, although I think both Canelo and Chavez win those fights if they are prepared and in shape...
