MGM Grand, Las Vegas - The weights are in for tomorrow's big HBO pay-per-view. In the main event, former three division champion Erik Morales (51-6, 35KOs) will face Marcos Maidana (29-2, 27KOs) for the vacant interim-WBA junior welterweight title. Morales, who appeared a bit drained, came in at 140-pounds on the nose. Maidana was ripped, and also came in at 140.

Hearing some wild things from Journalists watching Morales spar.

This fight might be closer then most people think.

I havent seen the pictures from the weigh in. BUT Morales looked in the best shape he's been in for a long time from the look on his face at the final presser. He didn't even look that skinny in any of his last 4 fights... yes counting david diaz fight as well. If he really did train like he was supposed to and doesn't get caught with something crazy in the first 2 rounds.... Chino might be in a world of trouble.

So whats the deal, is Erik back for good or is this just a one time thing? If so, this is one hell of a tune up fight.
