Comments Thread For: Montiel Says a New Agreement Reached With Zanfer

Former three division champion Fernando "Cochulito" Montiel (44-3, 34KOs), who earlier had announced that his promotional "contract had expired" and that he was "a free agent" who is "willing to listen to offers" - has now announced that he reached a "new agreement with Zanfer Promotions" of Mexico, who co-promote the boxer along with Top Rank. Montiel said that he "plans to fight" soon. He was last in the ring in February, and was stopped by Nonito Donaire in two rounds.

The quickest REUP I've ever seen. LOL

He still has a future with Top Rank and Zanfer. He might even get a chance to fight at Super Bantamweight since Nonito Donaire lost all his favor with Bob. Sucks for Donaire instead of the limelight on him, it is going back to Montiel which is how it is supposed to be. And since Ndlovu has no power in his punches then him and Montiel can meet up. Also, I think Top Rank would like that to happen.
