Comments Thread For: Stieglitz vs Gevor Showdown Set For April 9 in Magdeburg

It will be tough former EBU middleweight champ Khoren Gevor that steps in on short notice and replaces the injured Dimitri Sartison as the opponent for WBO super middleweight titleholder Robert Stieglitz. [Click Here To Read More]

    Good news.

I'm surprised they could find a decent, well-known opponent like Gevor on such short notice.

Props to Gev. He may lose again, but at least he's not afraid to step up.

Gevor should have stayed in middleweight division and get a title shot there...he's 2 short for super middleweight...I can easily see him being a champ at middleweight

He's already lost two middleweight title shots, although I thought the Sturm fight could have gone either way. But you're right, he probably should stay at middleweight, where IMO he would have a pretty good shot against Sylvester and would almost certainly beat Zbik if he holds his paper belt much longer.

Although I generally hate when fighters lose a bout and are then given a title shot in their next fight, Gevor is a far better short-notice opponent for Stieglitz than I expected. Hopefully he gets Sartison, or even somebody like Bute, next

            no surprise here.

Gevor was successful in court. he was a ****in free agent...just to sign a new contract with Universum why left Universum? just to be gatekeeper against one of their champions, who BTW is with SES now.

Gevor got a titel shot against Sartison at SMW this time around and lost.

Its his 4th title shot. Abraham knocked him out senseless.
Sturm beat him pretty easliy in a close fight, and so did Sartison.

BTW Gevor said the fight with Sartison wasnt as difficult/tough as with Sturm.
