The fight was held in Japan so I'm not surprised, you need a ko to win.

I haven't seen the fight, but to my knowledge, the Japanese judging is very fair in comparison to many countries, and I seldom see a bad scorecard. It may have to do with the fact that the Japanese people aren't very crooked in morality, thus the percentage of bad judging goes down a bit.
