"The Empire" will continue to operate with a big focus on the music industry. I've been told Empire President, Greg Cohen, is no longer with the company. I imagine GBP may make a play for Trout to set up a fight with Canelo down the road. But then again, Top Rank could also go for him to set up a unification of Trout vs. the winner of Cotto vs. Margarito as well...

Trout was with Top Rank before and they did nothing to advance his career so I have doubts he goes back. I wouldn't be surprised to see him sign with the likes of Goossen or DiBella to leave his options open rather than a Golden Boy.
