Comments Thread For: Kessler vs St-Juste in Talks For June, Then Bute Clash

Before facing IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute, former champion Mikkel Kessler could face Renan St-Juste in June. A huge crowd, with hundred of fans came to Place Versailles to watch the open workouts for InterBox's big event on Saturday. The Irishman Brian Magee (34-3-1) was first introduced into the ring to take part in the exercise. He invited a few people from the crowd to climb into the ring with him and even to hit the heavybag. I havent seen St.Juste, but judging from his record he seems suitable as a comeback opponent for Kessler and a good way for him to be introduced to the canadians before an eventual Bute clash.

Kessler was on danish TV today and apparently his eyes are NOT fully healed. There's still trouble with some nerves in both eyes so it's by no means certain that he'll be ready for a June fight.

Kessler dont need any introduction to canadians. He knocked canadian pride Eric Lucas a couple of years ago. Lucas is now Bute's promoter... St-Juste is a good comeback fight, if a good comeback fight mean's a very easy fight!

This is a valid comeback fight. St-Juste is a hard punching gatekeeper in a deep division.
