It would be great if Ricky Burns could become the lineal champion in the junior lightweight division (130lbs) and could collect fana's IBF title as well.
Frank Warren is going to have to shell out some dough to bring Fana to Scotland to fight WBO champion Burns.
How come Ricky Burns isn't consider as a pound for pound candidate? This guy is making noise in the Super Featherweight division and no props for him. Seriously, the U.S. has to stop being so U.S.-centric and be global it is called World Champion for a reason and not everyone is going to fight in the U.S. or try to live there. Same with the Klitchos getting disrespected by HBO.
I'm giving my props to Ricky Burns. At least, someone is fighting their mandatory challengers and aiming for greatness the legit way fighting the boxers in their division.

JJ,
Sorry mate but I have to disagree. I like Burns (a lot) but he's nowhere near top level yet.
He had a great fight against Martinez but Roman had fought two average fighters prior to that. Ricky hasn't fought anyone special yet.
A fight against Fana would do him great. I think he could win. After that we could talk about the next level.
By the way, I love your posts. Always informative & respectful.
