What fight was I watching? The one where Cotto won his second consecutive fight at a higher weight class by a monster left hook (T)KO. Only a shot fighter could pull that off.

See Jones-Jacobs for proof of that.

Cotto working behind his jab and consevering energy is a good move, though he wasnt pressured much.

Cotto looked pretty awesome. Cotto looked better than Mosley did against Mayorga. hard to look good fighting Mayorga. he has weird boxing style..but a bigger puncher and was in a great shape. he is not in his prime of course. but far from being shot.

I think he did really good. I would love to see him go back to 147 if he could make the weight.

He didn't look as good as his pre-Margarito form, but he showed a chin and his technique looked sharp. Newsflash, folks, Cotto's defense has never been very good.

It's very true. If you watch his old fights and compare them with his fights from Pacquiao and on, there is a huge difference in his fighting style. And this is coming from a big Cotto fan here.

But I think Cotto still looked good against Mayorga and can still fight.

I wont lie and say I was impressed or thought he looked like his old self but he looked good, Marg 2 is the real test to see where hes at though.
