The likely HBO televised co-feature on May 21, will feature a battle of former light heavyweight champions, with Chad Dawson (29-1, 17KOs) meeting Adrian Diaconu (27-2, 15KOs) in a crossroads fight. Dawson is looking to rebound from last August's technical decision loss to Jean Pascal. Both of Diaconu's career defeats were decision losses to Pascal. The televised main event will involve Pascal, who defends his WBC/IBO light heavyweight titles against Bernard Hopkins in a rematch of last December's controversial draw.

Much rather see him fight Diaconu. Diaconu is actually a light heavyweight and he is supposedly one of the guys Dawson "ducked" when he went to fight grandpa Tarver instead of defending his WBC belt vs. Diaconu in Romania.

Dawson will likely win by wide decision, but Diaconu has a punchers' chance.

Good comeback fighter for Chad. Still amazes me how he blew it against Pascal. I blame it on inactivity. Get back in the ring, get your rounds and then beat the winner of the main event. Chad is better than Bernard and Pascal.

Cloud/Dawson is a main event in itself. HBO is probably saving that fight after Dawson whips up on grandpa later this year.

You guys can't say s**t about Dawson's level of opposition now...If Hopkins wins the Pascal rematch, Dawson needs to fight both guys. But I recommend Pascal first, because Hopkins is VERY loseable unless he gets old overnight. Pascal of course is loseable too, but not as much as long as he doesn't get KTFO or play statue for 12 rounds.
