At the Warner Center Marriott in Woodland Hills, California, Yusaf Mack (29-3-2, 17KOs)won a twelve round split decision over Otis Griffin (23-7-2, 9KOs) in an IBF light heavyweight eliminator. The scores were 119-108 and 116-111 for Mack, and 114-113 for Griffin. Mack worked much harder in the contest. He caught Griffin with a lot of good punches. Griffin was never hurt until the final round, when he was dropped from a winding hook. The score of 114-113 for Griffin was a mystery to those at ringside.
