Froch has more boxing skills but shouldnt underestimate Pavlik, this would be a great fight and I can see either guy winning.

Pavlik would be taken out on a stretcher back to rehab. The guy is a bum.

On that note know one knows which Pavlik will come back but if it's the guy that beat Taylor he will beat Froch, AA easily, and be a major contender
Yes and Pavlik went through the first fight with Taylor totally unscathed right? Wrong maybe you forgot but he was out on his feet in the second round if Taylor could close fights he would not only have beat Froch but he would of also K.Oed Pavlik.

Has Pavlik ever beat a top fighter easily? much less one with the chin heart and power of Froch.

            Lets look at the facts.

Pavlik has looked like **** in his recent fights, he is recovering from an alcohol problem, he has one fight above 160lbs and he was schooled in it by Hopkins he also looked a lot slower and more sluggish fighting at the 170lbs catch weight.

Froch is a career 168lbs fighter, he has fought great competition and he has generally looked good in those fight even showing improvements in his last fight with AA.

Conclusion, Froch is at the peak of his game and he has shown dedication to the sport. Pavlik on the other hand has done a lot to suggest his best days are firmly behind him and has shown a lack of dedication to the sport.

After froch beats Johnson I see him not fighting Ward in America but fighting either one eyed Kessler or Pavlik in Nottingham for his belt. froch doesn't need Ward.

If their past fights are anything to go by then I would have to agree with Froch. I think Froch would school the hell out of Pavlik and beat the brakes of him.

Anyone who thinks Pavlik would win is probably an American who wants to hate on a European fighter.

I think Froch would be the favourite but it's a very tough fight for him. Pavlik's two best punches are the jab and the straight right hand, and he throws them at the same distance that Froch likes to operate from (at arm's length or slightly outside).

Froch deserves credit for not getting drawn into a war with AA, but Pavlik would make it much harder for him to avoid trading bombs.

I would lean towards Froch but I think he'd take some big shots along the way. Froch does use lateral movement, but not as much as Hopkins or Martinez, or even as much as JT, who Pavlik beat. Froch has some skills but not enough to dominate Pavlik, just enough to beat him.
