  • Comments Thread For: Brandon Rios Could Return Sooner, Hand is Not Broken

The WBA lightweight champion Brandon Rios (27-0, 20KOs) is capable of making his ring return earlier than previously expected. This past Saturday in Las Vegas, Rios knocked out Miguel Acosta in the tenth round to capture the WBA title. Following the win, it was initially thought that Rios had broken his right hand. After further review, the hand was found to be badly bruised, and not broken. Rios' timetable, regarding the amount of time needed to heal the hand and other fight related injuires, moves from 4-5 months to 1-2 months.

Co-sign, take punkass Pavlik off the undercard of Pac/Mosely and put Rios in there with Barrera!

Rios needs to drop the "margo style" or he isn't going to have a very long career. He need to work in defense, head movement, jabs,...etc. Improving these areas will greatly enhance his chances of continuing his unbeaten record.

And i don't really like the guy, but he's got a LOT of potential to really make it.

Agreed.. but Garcia said in an interview that Rios is going to stick with his style.
