Does anyone have any idea why they don't show a replay of the fight, it would probably help their ratings a little more. I know they show something on Universal HD but takes weeks.

The obvious assumption would be a scheduling thing. However, I think it's due to lower ratings than HBO receives.
The replay always has a dip, like any program would. However, SHOWTIME needs the ratings to keep up with HBO. Their original broadcasting of boxing usually gets what an HBO replay gets. Their replay ratings would be worse off.
Therefore, they tend to only have the one showing. I'd imagine, anyway.

I never understood why TV companies don't put replays on in the middle of the night instead of the **** they do.

I think SHOWTIME needs to step it up when it comes to replays.

If it's prime-time shows, the affiliates are forced to show the episode. However, if it's blank space, the networks allow the affiliates the sell this space to make money with the time. The network replays would cut out huge chunks of cash for local stations.
With HBO, it's simply a matter of not showing it too much as it would simply watch the rating get smaller and smaller as sporting events lose a point after two airings. First to watch it live. Then for those that missed it.
It would only make sense to air it any more after time has passed, simply to relive it.
SHOWTIME already has lower ratings. Therefore, they don't want the ratings to get even lower. I would assume, anyway.
