Canelo is really a 5'8, he's not 5'9 like boxrec puts, his biggest weight has been 150 lbs.

Realisticaly if they fight it will be a catchweight and not at the welterweight limit, and Alvarez will have to go down if he wants the name of Marquez in his record and the prestige of beating a mexican great, and all of the money the fight will make, lets put the fight at 145 lbs,

Do you really believe that Canelo right now without having the experience of fighting anyone of note, will do what Mayweather couldn't do and destroy Marquez?

He can the make the weight, but his handlers have said that he will be figthing at 150 so that the kid will make very easy the weight and concentrate in getting better in other aspects of his boxing that need to get better , but they clearly stated that when he fights for the Welterweight title and becomes a champ he will be making 147 for all of those fights.

Every boxer does that yeah, and about the katsidis comparation, well they are totally different fighters Katsidis is an ultra agressive boxer, and was in Marquez face all of the fight, he's ****ing relentles and that kind of style bothers somehow Marquez, just like in the Diaz fight.

Pacquiao was also that kind of fighter, but Pac fights in angles unlike Katsidis and Diaz.

Canelo is a boxer, he thinks to much in the ring and is not and in your face kind of fighter so Marquez will not have to be on the defensive all of the fight and with Marquez speed advantage and counterpunching, that will give him the edge if they fight this year.
