Later tonight, Erik Morales (48-2, 34KOs) and Manny Pacquiao (39-3, 30KOs) step back in the ring for the first time since their spectacular bout this past March. The event which takes place live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California has been dubbed "Double Trouble". An event showcasing both fighters in tune-up type bouts on route to a potential big money rematch, to take place later this year.
In the main event, Morales will face former Olympian Zahir Raheem (26-1, 18KOs), in a bout fought at 135 pounds. Raheem has a single loss to previously undefeated Rocky Juarez, but he will be seriously outgunned in this bout. Morales has the upper hand in experience, power and overall ring generalship. While Raheem does have decent boxing skills and speed on his side, Pacquiao is much faster, hits a lot harder and Morales did just fine against the Filipino sensation.
In the co-main event, Manny Pacquiao will face another Mexican veteran in Hector Velazquez (41-10, 30KOs). Velazquez is a very tough and cagey veteran, but lacks the power and speed to give Pacquiao any serious problems. The fight could be over quick when taking into account the fact that Velazquez likes to stand in front of his opponents. In other words, Manny should not have any trouble finding Velazquez in the ring. [details]
