Top 25 Most Popular Boxers: Manny or Floyd King?

Blogger is a blog publishing tool from Google for easily sharing your thoughts with the world. Blogger makes it simple to post text, photos and video onto your personal or team blog.

Who is the Most Popular Man in Boxing? The Top 25 Most Popular Boxers
    Mean Girls Boxers

Is the old mantra "nice guys finish last" really true in boxing these days?

Who is the most popular fighter these days?...And where do all the rest rank?

You know exactly what we're talking about: The ole do you think he'll like me more if I sleep with him?

To solve this enigma, we wanted to use only the most scientifically reliable sources around: Facebook and Twitter.

    THE TOP TEN POPULAR BOXERS

Here we go when it comes to dropping panties drawing fans, these guys are la crem de la crem. And no Mr. De La Hoya, that's NOT what we're talking about.

Comment: This is pretty impressive. Could Larry Merchant really have been onto something when he courageously predicted this guy would rise to challenge Manny Pacquiao? Judging by his following already, maybe that one isn't too far off.

Comment: Score one for the little guys! Good luck this Saturday, Filipino Flash. Let's just hope not too many of these followers mistook you for the other popular Filipino.

    7. Wladimir Klitschko

Comment: Sorry Dr. Steelhammer, but the Hayemaker has you when it comes to online followings.

    6. David Haye

    Facebook Likes: 102,786
    Twitter Followers: 101,747

Comment: David Haye has more than twice as many online fans as his hopefully future opponent Wladimir Klitschko. Will that help him with his ducking in the ring?

    5. Juan Manuel Lopez

    Facebook Likes: 131,298
    Twitter Followers: 3,619

Comment: The undefeated Puerto Rican star is heading towards stardom and a clash with Yuriorkis Gamboa.

    4. Miguel Cotto

    Facebook Likes: 154,130
    Twitter Followers: 42,626

Comment: Miguel Cotto built his way to stardom the old fashioned way - by demolishing everyone who got in his way. Then came along Margarito, and things haven't quite been the same in the ring. He looks to pick it up and get back to that place against Ricardo Mayorga in March.

    3. Amir Khan

Comment: It's hard to imagine, that only a few fights removed the wrong side of a vicious Breidis "Who?" Prescott knockout, that Amir Khan has bounced back to become arguably the third most popular guy in the sport.

Good point, and it was both against Oscar De La Hoya.

However, has Manny's fan population increased since then?

Good Catch about no Vitali Klitschko. I lumped him in with the other Klitschko and counted the higher man's stats since, well....they are making contracts to fight "either/or"

Vitali Klitschko has 14,612 Facebook Fans, which is still not in the top ten.

Nope, it's a Top Rank (apparently) owned page.

                Check it out here: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/TopRankMannyPacquiao

                Floyd's Twitter is @FloydMayweather

It's a small gap between the two, and only a point of argument over "Who is really more popular?"

                Someone Tweet it at Floyd

For real those numbers dont mean anything what do they get for people following them in twiter? What matters is ratings and ppv numbers and the fans that show up to fight night. Its pac when it comes to drawing gmfans to buy tickets and in ppv numbers its floyd but they need to meet up and will do huge numbers in every department.
