Comments Thread For: Early Results From The Olympia Hall in Liverpool

In a starting contest of a nice night of boxing at Olympia Hall in Liverpool, England, light welterweight Steve Williams (10-1, 4 KOs) came back to win column with an impressive second-round stoppage of feather-fisted Scottsman Charlie Paul King (17-3, no KOs). After an even first round, Williams threw several nice combinations in the second before putting King on a ***** street with a smashing right hook. Referee Phil Edwards immediately stepped in at 2:05 to save the Scottish fighter from more punishment. [Click Here To Read More]

bit of a premature stoppage i thought that being said he wouldn't have lasted much longer still

you have to let him at least take two or three more punches before jumping in if you're the ref

he got rocked it happens he may have been able to whether the storm or williams may have gone for him and punched himself out

don't think the outcome would have been any different but the ref was abit too quick in my view
