    update on Haye mandatory/s

    By Richard Cawley

WLADIMIR Klitschko has told David Haye he is ready to fight the Bermondsey star on July 2.

But the South London Press understands the Hayemaker is set to turn to Ruslan Chagaev, Alexander Povetkin or Dennis Boytsov for a May defence of his WBA heavyweight title in London.

A source close to the South Londoner said he is likely to press ahead with putting his belt on the line against one of the trio above before looking for a unification fight with Klitschko’s older brother Vitali, who holds the WBC title, in September.

tbh,he should be fighting in america already!.
and he better fight vitali in september, especially if he really does plan retirement.

    chageav,hes past his best tbh.

    povetkin,good opponent,technically good,tough,unbeaten,known name,been on HBO.(lets hope haye v povetkin is on HBO)

boystov, coming back from injuyr, unbeaten, but i dont think hes all that great tbh.

If he decides to fight Boytsov or Povetkin, I would quite happily pay to watch it. Chagaev's last couple of performances were pretty poor, so I wouldn't be overly excited about seeing that fight.

This can't be true cos all the Wlad fans said he was gonna face Mormeck,Tarver or Toney.

ide much prefer him to fight vitali.

there is no excuse of vitali being chinny,or weak minded like wlad is.

vitali has never even been knocked down!.

wlad is more technical, but technique or leaning and clinching and jabbing doesnt help when some fast aggressive heavy puncher knocks your lights out.

povetkin, chageav and boystov are ok pretty acceptable for mandatories, better than solis i think, and better than chisora a non mandatory!.

mormeck toney and tarver would be awful for any champion to fight, unless all 3 first fought a top contender and beat him convingly that made a statement.

Povetkin and Boystov are dangerous fights for Haye, so good on him if he faces one of them.

I would also like to see if Atlas could redeem himself by getting Povetkin in there and defeating David Haye.

Maybe there's some hope for David to have a legacy after all. We'll see.
