Comments Thread For: CompuBox Punch Stats: Tim Bradley-Devon Alexander

Pontiac, Michigan - WBO/WBC junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley landed more punches in six of ten rounds and landed the harder punches all fight-coming forward all fight at the Silverdome. Was Devon Alexander looking for a way out down the stretch?

Pretty identical. It just shows that Compubox isn't **** when you watch the actual fight.

Those numbers look like what I had expected from the fight, Bradley being more effective and accurate while still passably busy, and Alexander throwing slightly more, but with less accuracy or effect.

              you got it

The fight was close, but clearly Bradley was the active man on the ring, Alexander probably could win the rematch if he trows more punches the next time

                Exactly right,

That is why it's a ****** argument to bring in when talking about what fighter won the fight.

It didn't happen here cuz' Bradley was the clear winner. But, in other occasions and people bring up compubox it just makes me smh.

Bradley landed the cleaner, harder shots between the two. I can only remember like 5 clean shots landed by Alexander the entire fight. Bradley was using his gloves to catch Alexander's punches most of the night, which was very effective. If they rematch, I think Bradley will win even more convincingly. He should have had Alexander on the ropes the entire night because on the inside, Alexander has no game at all....Bradley was completely dominant there.

Pretty even as far as output but Bradley clearly dictated the distance and pace of the fight. Bradley is a fighter that really wins fights by taking the other guy out of their games more so that dominating them with punch output.
