Comments Thread For: Steward: Tyson Fury is The Next Heavyweight Superstar!

According to veteran trainer Emanuel Steward, rising British prospect Tyson Fury (13-0, 9KOs) has the goods to become the next dominating figure in the heavyweight division. Steward has worked with two of the most dominating heavyweights of the last twenty years, Lennox Lewis and Wladimir Klitschko. In the last few months, Steward began training Fury, and based on what he's seen in the ring, he expects Fury to develop in the same fashion as Lewis and Klitschko.

    No.

I agree with much of what Manny says, but Fury simply doesn't have the athleticism to become a heavyweight superstar.

Too bad the more talented UK heavyweight David Price doesn't have a top trainer like Steward.

Steward is working with him so he's of course going to hype him up. I have seen Fury fight a few times and I can't see what's so special about him. What is it about Tyson Fury that I'm not seeing??????

          good lookin,hes an ugly gypsey!.

he is a character ile give him that.

spose need to remember hes only like 20,22? sumit like that.

and if he loses weight and continues to listen learn and apply what he is taught then in acouple of years when klitschkos and haye are gone he could get one of the titles.

i do like price, but he needs better training and better opposition.

I'd love for Tyson to be a star but I'm not even sure he'll make it to the top level - although if the Heavyweight division keeps freefalling like it has been then that may not be such a difficult feat.

Why am I worried for Cotto now?

Oh, that's right, Cotto is being trained by a crazy person now.
