  • Comments Thread For: Mormeck vs Rahman in Talks, Far From a Done Deal

Sources close to the negotiations have advised BoxingScene.com that there are ongoing discussions to match former cruiserweight champion Jean-Marc Mormeck (36-4, 22KOs) against former WBC heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman (49-7-2, 40KOs). May 7 is the current working date. The fight is far from a done deal.

Rahman should have a third fight with Toney. Maybe this time someone will be declared the winner, and stay that way.

good news, they match up well, both past it.

Haye needs to choose only the top and best possible opponents now, even if he doesnt retire in october.

Chageav if he has too and it can be made.(and chageav isnt too ill or anything)

Povetkin is the next best option and highest ranked.(espec. if has decent trainer)

Adamek before klitschkos get to him would be crazy cool, but is doubtful.(possible for may/june,then face klitschko in september for adamek.)

Arreola could be a good match up,and if WBA are crooked then why not use and be crooked for making a good match up,that makes money, attract fans, and gives a good fight.

chambers possibly could be good, but dont see it,hes not WBA ranked.

apart from that,no other CHOSEN opponent is worth the bother.

If Mormeck and Rahman fight, hopefully the loser will retire.
