The Gentleman of Boxing...Bustin' heads: Floyd Patterson Highlight Video
I just found this highlight this morning and had to share. One of my favorite fighters, Floyd Patterson, seems to get remembered by too many for his later career, the Liston fights, Ali fights, etc. What a shame that is. This guy was an awesome athlete in his prime. Powerful, lightning fast, highly skilled, a man Muhammad Ali called the most skilled boxer he ever faced (on Ali's record, that's a hell of a compliment, to say the least). A gentleman outside the ring, a predator inside. Floyd Patterson, bustin' heads:

I'm embarrassed to say I've never watch a full fight of his, only highlights. Any suggestions?

Sure. The full Brian London fight is up on youtube, I think. The body shots are absolutely brutal. It's not his best opponent by far but it's an awesome performance. One of my favorite parts is when Brian and Floyd, in a mostly clean fight, got into a mini-pushing contest at the end of a round, and Floyd not even having been big for light heavyweight prior to moving up to heavy, got pushed back and even though Brian was getting pasted the whole fight, when the bell rings right after he shoves Floyd, he raises his hand like "I did something!" lol. ...Excuse that massive run-on sentence, by the way. I've very sleepy.Comment

I'm not being sensitive and that's not my opinion on Ali, but rather mirroring the nature of your comment, as I hoped would be obvious. You gave me your opinion on Patterson, I gave you my opinion on your opinion. If you want to take pot shots at a fighter out of nowhere on a boxing forum, especially personal ones that have nothing to do with boxing, expect someone to disagree and give you their own opinion about it.
