Are you in favor of the CBS/Showtime move?

Competition is always good in my eyes. It will cause everyone to step there game up. I would have to think HBO is thinking of a way to counter this with something big.

    And who wins?

    The fans!

Boxing on big networks never does well, the promotion is never good enough nbc tried to bring back saturday afternoon fights it did not work,it has to be a slow build start showing these lower weight world title fights you only here about in the news, and move up from there,as of now if you do not have hbo or showtime your fcked as a fan.

I agree to an extent. The slow build up is what would work. You are not going to be able to start a series right now because the general sports fan is not going to want to watch fighters they dont know.

Now with a build up series with Pacquiao will get interest. People know who he is and will be interested. Its basic marketing. The further you cast uor net the more fish you will bring in.

It will help the promotion and the fight will do well.
HBO will want to counter this and the fans will win out in the end.

this is one of the things that is hurting boxing right now the fact that most boxing oriented programs are on HBO and SHOWTIME, if this is well promoted than I believe it will do well.

there sshould be an option for "neither".

          Because that is the answer.

This move has little impact. Positive or negative.

100,000,000 can watch Pacquiao vs Mosley fight. I think this is not PPV. They will get a lot of sponsors, advertisement, and commercials every round. At least its FREE! This is like SUPER BOWL! I guess.

agree with this. I like it just because it's something different, but overall? Doesn't really matter.
