Direll ran and you cant win a fight away from home like that.

So what if he was losing the taylor fight ?

Hopkins was in his 40s and is a carrear middleweight and was way past it yet he still won according to alot of people. Calzaghe ducked a rematch.
Hopkins had a Light Heavy Weight Title when he busted up Tarver. He then fought Winky Wright and then Calzaghe. Joe was not much bigger than Hopkins was, if any at all- Hopkins is a pretty big guy. If he wasn't such a gym rat and have such a good diet, he'd weigh like 190 to 200.

Landing two or three solid punches while getting hit by 20 to 50 punches in return is not winning the fight, especially when the other guy is dictating the pace of the fight while keeping you from using the style you like.
that didn't happen though it's been proven. if you actually watch closely unlike the judges hopkins outlanded calzaghe by a wide margin and landed the much better punches in at least 6 of the rounds. air punches and back punches don't count.

Calzaghe fought him at a catchweight below the LHW limit so no title should have been at stake.

Hopkins was way past it as well so its not like he did something great winning a deabteable decison.

Calzaghe has beaten a much higher standard of opponent that Diaz.

Hopkins schools Tarver, Pavlik and beats Wright but lost against Calzaghe and had to fake injuries to take breathers. Even now he can still get a draw with the no.1 light heavy in the world.

What fighter has Diaz beat that comes close to Hopkins.

Its pretty funny seeing white people claim light skinned Latino/Hispanic. As white as canelo is I can assure you he has native in his blood also white but that's the reason their neither white nor native. Their latino. Cotto has a taino Indian tattoo on his arm so he might be native and black or maybe white black and native. But no one will know unless you do some genetic test. My point is its impossible trying to try assume their genetic make up based off appearance. So impossible that we just call them Latinos

I always liked Diaz, but Calzaghe clearly has fought(and beaten) higher levels of competition.

Louis was definitely old, but he was still a pretty good puncher and highly rated when Marciano KOed him.

Mariano's wins over Charles and Walcott were also very good, and both guys were #1 in the division when he beat them...even Archie Moore was rated #1 when Marciano beat him, since Moore was coming off a win over Nino Valdez, who was highly rated for a long time.

even wins like Don ****ell, LaStarza, Matthews, and Rex Layne were highly rated at the time.

so basically his undefeated record is overrated...but his competition level is underrated.

Sadly, a lot of people hate good white boxers like Calzaghe and the Klitschkos.
It has nothing to do with them being white, it has to do with you you white boys overrating your fighters.
