Martinez has nothing to gain from fighting Pirog. If he beats Pirog, people will immediately call Pirog an overhyped prospect. Martinez will get zero credit and it will do nothing for his goal to be #1 p4p. Pirog needs to get at least one more fight to show he doesn't suck. He hasn't done anything to deserve a fight with Martinez. On the financial side, no one knows who the hell Pirog is so he won’t sell any tickets. Andy Lee at least has a small Irish following that will bring in some cash in New York. None of them will help is career, but he'll at least get some money with Andy Lee.
