I bought the Blu Ray edition this week. I saw it twice, I think Rocky is better but Raging Bull is a close 2nd, great documentary on the life of jake la motta.

LaMotta was a lot worse in real life, at least according to his autobiography.

I didn't like Raging Bull, even though I'm a Robert Deniro fan. I don't care for Jake LaMotta, or anyone else who beat women and threw fights.

Cinderella Man and Million Dollar Baby are two of my favorites.

Gentleman Jim is an old one starring Errol Flynn I liked.

Rocky I, easily. I thought the Fighter was up there with Raging Bull for second though.

Raging Bull is some good-looking garbage. One of the only Scorsese-DeNiro hookups I don't like. It's visually stunning and stylish, but a complete misfire on every other level, right down to Marty projecting his own Catholic guilt onto LaMotta (who didn't give two hoots about Catholicism or God in general).

Great White hope with James Earl Jones is my favorite but all the movies about boxers that are suposed to be biographies are really just dramatisations losely based on the fighters story.

Raging Bull, Rocky II, Cinderella Man are my favorites. I don't like Will Smith and I heard it ****** so I have never seen Ali and also not seen the Hurricane. If you know a lot about Micky Ward and ****y Ecklund and their stories then The Fighter will not be great to you. It is a good movie regardless, but the way they ended it took a lot away from the movie in my opinion. I guess you will just have to see it to know what I mean. Also I'm not a big Mark E Mark fan but Christian Bale had an outstanding performance in that movie.

I've never actually seen that movie in full. Just the end, which is pretty ****ed up.
