    As broken early this morning by BoxingScene.com, former champion Jorge Barrios was removed from this Saturday's fight with Erik Morales after a judge refused to give Barrios permission to leave Argentina for Mexico. Barrios has a pending criminal case in his country.

      Lorenzo? Come on man! There was no one else that could have taken this fight on short notice??? This is a joke! How old is Lorenzo, anyhow? He looks like he is 45 years old....oh, well....a nice warm-up fight for El Terrible!

          This fight will not move Erik closer to his goal...fighting Marquez at lightweight. Anyway, still a decent stay busy fight for Erik.

                      How the hell was something as big as that not worked out before now? Surely a lawyer somewhere involved in this fight would have said "Hey, you're not allowed to leave your country with a criminal case pending. You better sort it out first"?

                              it's the classic bait and switch. they probably never planned on fighting barrios they just wanted to sell tickets then switch the opponent at the last minute. it's done all the time in boxing.
