I was amazed at Khan and Maidana

Khan for his blazing speed and incredible combinations.

Maidana for his unrelenting will and powerful punching to the body and head.

As for the fight, I thought it was spectacular. Khan showed a lot of determination and I was impressed. Maidana threw probably 10 or so knockout punches and Khan worked through it.

I thought the fight could've been stopped in the 10th. I thought Cortez DID protect Amir to an extent. If Khan is holding on to one arm and Maidana's other arm is free, there's no way he should be breaking them up. Khan has to learn to clinch the right way, his problem, not Maidana's. Luckily for Amir, Cortez was there to help him out.

I want a rematch. But I doubt Roach would put Khan in there with Maidana again. This fight made me like both these guys and I hope there was some casual fans who saw this scrap.

Incredible fight. Really was. Khan fought a much more reckless fight than I expected, and fight fans got a great fight out of it.

Just one grappling move and khan cant master it? I hope Roach notes that!
But although Maidana did well, i think Khan made it hard for himself.

He lost the fight rather than Maidana won it. Maybe Khan put too much pressure on himself. After that first round, Maidana shouldnt have had so much energy. Khan is so fast how did he not target the body? If he wanted to sure he could have as the body dont move.

Shane Mosley trains nearby. Maybe Roach should ask Mosley to teach Khan how to clinch.

These guys are so open and easy to hit that it makes it way too tempting to head hunt. I agree though, you gotta go to the body. It kinda reminded me of Cotto vs Margarito, where I thought Cotto should have went to the body instead of landing ineffective shots to Marg's chin.

This was a great fight, I would also like to see a rematch one day. This fight showed a lot of heart in both boxers.. The fact that Roach was going to call it in the tenth, but Khan seemed very alert showed heart, he took a beating that round.

Agreed Cortez should have stopped it...

Then I realized it's a Las Vegas mega fight not some Bum facing a Frank Warren fighter and having it stopped due to some piss poor reason.

Cortez stopping the fight would have been ******, you have to give the champ every chance. Maidana was sloppy and was exhausted and couldn't get through enough to warrent a stoppage and he didn't even knock him down so there's no credit there.
