like El Terrible had his Barrera, like Gonzalez had his Carbajal, Soto could be that Mexican rival for Marquez...I'm not saying Soto is 'great' or anything but stylistically, he and JMM could produce some fireworks


can you picture those two taking turns unloading combos on each other?

imagine when JMM was dumping combos on Katsidis and instead of Katsidis just eating em, he waits til the piss drinker was done and then throw his own flurry? that's what would happen against Soto



JMM is the name that Soto needs, and Soto is the real rivalry that further entrenches Marquez in Mexican boxing lore



as for Rios, put him on the undercard against Urbano Antillon and let those two duke it out

Each guy has a lot to gain in terms of boxing prestige if they win.

Rios hasn't done enough imo to warrant a shot at Soto.

As much as I don’t care for the Kool Aid gulping piss drinker I’d still favor him to win, his last performance was too good to deny and Soto just barely squeaked by his last opponent…

I thought Kats stylistically is made for Marquez and Antillo stylistically is made for Soto.

good matchmaking there.

but stylistically Soto is very similar to Marquez and wouldnt do as much fireworks as with a coming forward, no matter how many uppercuts I eat- style of guy.

i love Kats...even put myself out there and went against the grain and predicted he would beat JMM...but he isn't better than Soto...he's a come-forward ****er with nothing more than a left hook in his arsenal


Soto can put his punches together and from last night's performance, showed that he can also fight going backwards


he might be a better lighweight as far as being a natural 135 pounder but Soto has a more varied skillset IMO
