Comments Thread For: Miranda Ready For All Comers, Including Giovani Segura

WBO flyweight champion Julio Cesar "Pingo" Miranda (34-5, 27KOs) is ready for any challenge and that includes Giovani Segura (25-1-1, 21KOs) who recently vacated his WBO/WBA junior flyweight titles to move up in weight. Segura has his sights set on a fight with Miranda. There are talks of a rematch with Ivan Caldero for April, but Segura has stressed that Calderon would have to take the fight at flyweight. In the coming weeks, Miranda's promoter Rosalío Aviléz will explore the possibility of a fight with Segura.

That would be a great fight and a chance to be a two division champ. Forget calderon he will just ko him even quicker or calderon will run all fight and loose.

Giovanni Segura has not completely rejected the Iván Calderón rematch yet. He just wants the fight to take place at the 112 pound division.

And your just plain ****** if you think calderon could win the rematch. I know he did a good fight and didnt run the first fight. But if a second fight were to happen idoubt he would do the same he would just run the whole night in fear of getting hit and taking the same punishment he took. A rematch is pointless any ways segura won fair and square and there is nothing calderon could do to change the outcome.

Pretty much he weighed in at 113 in his last fight with Vargas. He has been having problems making 108 for awhile. He wanted to just stay at 108 to fight Calderon. But, I think him weighing in at 113 made him re-think that. I don't think he can make it. So he would like to have the Calderon rematch at 112. And, he still willing to rematch him in Puerto Rico. And, I don't think Calderon would have a problem with fighting Segura at 112. There was talks before Calderon lost that he wanted to move up to 112. So we will see...

that is so true,he ran in his fight with segura, thats not boxing, thats running,at some points he stood and traded not because of his toughness, but because he was forced too,i believe it's round seven, not sure,he ran like for 30 seconds,i was laughing so much
