Here we have a guy who has fought the most impressive run of competition in the sport and given us a string of exciting fights yet his countryman would rather tune into a fixed fight to watch an obnoxious hype job jerk the fans off for 9 minutes until the ref admonishes him for not fighting.

British fans are so sorry. They all claim they didn't pay for the Harrison fight but they did. They all claim they support Froch but they don't.

I would like to make Froch an honorary American since the British fans have no respect or time for him.

I am sure he is tired of you guys as well, it would suck to be a fighter and know that the fans know so little about the sport that they will never support a hardnosed aggressive fighter over an lazy ass overrated potshotting loudmouth.
as a brit, great post mate, mspot on.

Brits often call the yanks deluded, uncultured and self centred yet its only the brits that like haye. The rest of the world can see haye for what he truely is, a **** boxer thats **** scared of robert helnius let alone the k bros...

    Good post mate...

It's definitely true Froch isn't in the mainstream eye as much as Khan or Haye. It's basically a disgrace and as someone said - down to Sky.

That's because it wasn't televised on UK TV. Blame Froch's promoter and the television networks. Most British boxing fans I know, love and respect Froch.

So all the fans love and respect Froch but the TV stations won't show him?

Do you realize how ****** that sounds?

You just made my point for me.

Brits pretend that they respect the lesser known fighters but when it comes down to it their time and money is only spent on posers like Haye and Khan.

I think you got a valid point, and if I had to guess I'd have to say that it has something to do with the rivalery of Joe Calzaghe. At the time he challenged and made a fool of Joe Calzaghe, Joe was as popular as the queen and the ***el of England. So he got some sort of evil, badguy stamp.

But while England might not be fully behind him, I can say that even nonboxing fans in Denmark are big fans of his. So he is definitely gaining teoritory in the rest of the world.

Im from London and your wrong. Froch should be ou top boxing superstar yet he isnt!!! You have haye who is a joke of a fighter yet gets way more interest that froch.

I've been a fan of froch for years and years, I've wathced nearly all his fights and last night was by far and way the greatest performance of his career, if not of any british boxer since hatton defeated kosta tyzu (sp) years ago.

I wish froch would get some mainstream attention and earn a couple of huge paydays for the exitment he has given us fans in the last few years.
