Comments Thread For: Haye vs Chagaev Mandatory: The WBA Issues Ruling

Heavyweight Ruslan Chagaev has a mandatory shot at the WBA title which has to be carried out on or before April 3, 2011. Nevertheless, with Chagaev's current condition of Hepatitis B, the medical advisor of the WBA, doctor Calvin Inal-Singh, advised him not to fight. The WBA's executive vice-president Gilberto Mendoza Jr. has ruled that the champion, David Haye, has the legal authority to request additional tests on Chagaev. Haye has pressed for the contest to be in England and it's expected that Chagaev will not pass a medical exam due to Hepatitis B. It may explain why Chagaev's promoter Universum is going to make their moves to stage the contest elsewhere.

I feel sad for Chagaev. Is it not possible to cure this terrible disease?

I have a solution for this. Why don't Haye fight one of the Klitschko and then he doesn't have to worry about Chagaev health problems.

How the hell does this clear anything up?

        What a misleading title.

this is ******,even wbas own dr said that chageav should not continue fighting while ill with hep b.

no one wants to see him a sick fighter getting beaten up and knocked out by anyone.

haye doesnt want this fight becuase its a waste of time,he must do everything to get kltischkos and klits must do everything to get haye.

but still sounds like klitschko want Haye to fight out his suareland contract before they will agree to sign contracts.

Haye vs Adamek aired on ameircan uk and german tv would please me if klitsckos couldnt agree contract terms yet.

solis vs vitali could test vitalis chin, but solis is way out of shape aint he?.

i think they need to man up and both sides agree the winner takes a bigger share of revenue, specifically if klitschko win they take hayes half of tv ppv money from uk,if haye win he keeps all of his own tv uk ppv money.

Who wants to see that Haye v Chagaev? Nobody, Chagaev made a non-effort against Wlad and pretty much ended his own career with that performance. Nobody wants his disease so he should hang em up.

So he wouldnt even pass a medical in the UK with the disease? Damn. Does the same apply to the USA?

With Nikolay not fighting, does that mean Haye would face the #3, Boystov? I wouldn't mind that. He'd be a much better opponent due to Ruslan's health.

And he was terrible in his last fight. He doesn't deserve a shot on the back of that close contest with a (in all fairness) tough journeyman.

Having said that, I wouldn't mind seeing Haye fight another heavyweight before fighting a Klitschko.
