Comments Thread For: Pacquiao vs Khan: Roach Says "I Would Support Manny"

Four-time Trainer of the Year Freddie Roach was questioned about a possible fight between two of his pupils, WBO welterweight and WBC junior middleweight champion Manny Pacquiao (52-3-2, 38 KOs), and WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan (23-1, 17 KOs). The two fighters are friends, but a fight between the two of them could fall in line if they continue winning.

It wouldn't matter which side roach is on. Pac will still win, Even If Buboy would substitute for Roach.

Not very likely to happen. They each have too many options to choose from other than fight each other. Besides, Khan isn't under Top Rank so that's another hurdle.

Let's get real. If Kahn beats Maidana, the first name he's calling out afther the fight is Floyd Mayweather. The sad thing is that because Golden Boy would love to keep it's money in-house much like Arum does, they will do everything they can to make that fight (maybe in the UK). Plus, knowing Floyd's history, he'll jump on that fight before agreeing to fight Pacquiao. When Mayweather beats Kahn 12-0 or 11-1, nobody will care about Kahn-Pacquiao. Therefore, Kahn and Pacquiao won't be fighting anytime soon.
