How is anything Haye did this year better than Segura beating the legendary (and until then undefeated) Calderon? Or Cotto beating a third tier champion in Yuri Foreman?

Haye for fighter of the year is a bit of a joke. From the WBA champions, Andre Ward would have been my choice. Other options include Cotto, Segura and Khan.

Oh, I thought Gaye deserved the "Vagina of the Year" award for sure, but "fighter"? WBA must be really searching for quality champs if they have to give fighter of the year award to a guy who beat two 40 year olds and one of those fights he had to be told to fight by the ref and it then turned out that he bet on the fight and told the opposing fighter which round to lay down in.

durr!! haye wins because his sanctioning fee is the biggest. How can senchenko win the european fighter of the year when Haye win's overall...is Haye not a European?

these sanctioning bodies really are pointless arent they!!
