they've never seemed that way on a global scale... they're not at all over represented in the most global sport of all: soccer

very one-dimensional sports like sprinting (blacks) and weight-lifting (caucasians) may highlight racial differences in bone/muscle structure but boxing is too multifacetted
Something that is well stated, intelligent, and actually has a basis in reality. Rare on here. Green K.

        Andre Ward- Super Middleweight Champion
        Andre Berto- Welterweight Champion
        Mike Jones- Welterweight Champion
        Timothy Bradley- Light Welterweight Champion
        Devon Alexander- Light Welterweight Champion

There are 44 world title belts across all the weight divisions in boxing and AA fighters holding a grand total of Seven of them is supposed to be dominating the sport?

And Mike Jones being on that list is just plain ***ing hilarious!

              Simple answer to this...facilities.
Im sure that if Africa had the same facilites as European nations, they would perform a lot better. Case in point South American teams. All the South American nations that have blacks in that country have a lot of blacks playing football in them (Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia). I'm certain that if America took football more seriously, African Americans would excel(may not be the best, but will still do good).

Look at South Africa, whites don't play football and instead play cricket and rugby. If you saw the world cup, South Africa only had one white player in their squad.

Are we taking about athletics or body building? Two different meanings, slick. Are you going to sit here and say Football, baseball, Volleyball, and basketball don't require athletics skills?

I didn't say that those sports don't require Athletic ability, what I was saying is that Americans don't produce the best Athletes in the world anymore.
