They tried to spin that in Pac's favor but its kind of hard to do that when your opening statement is "in fact Manny has never fought an African American"

But looking at the times when he did face real boxers/technicians like EM or JMM, He either lost or came close to losing. Watch the first fight MP-EM. watch EM's body rights/lefts to the body. Watch JMM's Straight rights catching manny off balance. These are things floyd has mastered and what's key is floyd has the athleticism to deal with MP, rather than these fleet-footed, come straight forward, wide punching, slow guys he's fighting.
Yeah, but they exchange far more, do Morales and Marquez. They didn't potshot him. A body shot will hurt you a lot more if you're in the middle of a combination rather than about to start one. That's not even to mention that Floyd fights nothing like either one of those guys.

And did we ever consider it'd be a poor marketing strategy for Pacquiao? Here you have a guy who, especially earlier in his career, was a crude and explosive fighter. Repeating the same combinations until he knocked someone's head off, which he usually did.

I don't think anyone would argue Erik Morales is one of the most entertaining fighters to ever live. You put him in there with a guy like Zahir Rahim, and watch the drama bleed out of the fight. No one wants to see that when they tune into what they believe is going to be an exciting fight. Whether or not that's the right approach, I'm not going to debate, but it certainly makes sense. Dramatic matches propel these athletes further than lacklustre cat and mouse affairs, with one explosive fighter chasing a technician around the ring and getting an amateur boxing lesson.

A fight like that, win or lose, would just stop an up-and-comers momentum.

I wouldnt even say he avoid them, I think they got fighters that suit Pacquiao's style, styles that makes Pac look great to boxing fans which increases his fanbase, If he fights a lot of styles like Clottey then no boxing fan would watch him because its a puzzle that needs to be figured out, Brawler or Volume punchers arent puzzles that needs to be figured out.

i cant think of many black slick boxers for manny to fight, that are well known, are good enough and worthy enough to face him.

floyd is the only one,and hes the one not up for it!.

                    mosley is not slick.

who does bhop want him to fight?. notice how he didnt dare mention any names!.

lol, does he want pac to fight witter,or is it becuase witter not american that it wouldnt count?.

bradley, hes not that slick, hes not that good, not to face pac.

judah?,he isnt good enough to beat pac,he barely won his last fight!.

                    alexander-same as bradley.

cant think of any african american fighter who is slick and good enough or big enough to fight pac.
