Young Patrick Nielsen continues to impress adding his first unbeaten scalp to his record. Nielsen showed some good firepower in the first but a headclash in the second had the blood flowing freely from a nasty cut on the bridge of the nose.
Later another cut this time in the corner of the eye and after that a major gash on the scalp made this primetime fight resemble the crimson pirate. Anyway Patrick didnt complain and kept his composure despite blood streaming down in his eye and won a comfortable decision.
Rudy Markussen got a jokish first round kayo. Rudy connected with a big left hook to the body early that Ribac clearly felt. Some twenty seconds later Rudy landed a straight left that didn't look impressive at all but Ribac went down hard. Ribac clearly didnt want to fight and it was over quickly as Rudy jumped in and let his hands go.
Markussen has now his eyes set on a fight with Robert Stieglitz and that could be a highly entertaining matchup.
If Mr. Persson honestly scored the Nielsen vs. Salihu fight 58-56, then I would advice him to find another field to write about, because in that case he has no knowledge of boxing. Salihu stubbornly stayed in there but there was no way you could give him a round - unless you start counting headbutts as scoring punches. Being Swedish does not have to mean being ignorant.

Oh yeah. Calling the Bruun fight a gift is a reach as well. It was a close fight yes but gift? No.

I read on a Danish website that Mr. Persson had the Bruun fight 79-74 for Chiofalo!!!! But then again, this is the same writer who had Froch a clear winner over Kessler. Do we have a pattern here? If that is his general attitude, I don't think it's fair to have that guy covering Danish boxing on Boxingscene.
