The Corner Must do its Job

The job of the corner is to save the fighter. You cannot allow the fighter to tell the corner its job. The corner MUST make those tough calls like Eddie Futch did for Joe Frazier, and like Buddy McGirt did for Arturo Gatti when Mayweather was beating Gatti badly. THE FIGHTER CAN DIE if the corner don't stop it. Eddie Futch said he stop the Frazier fight because he witnessed a couple of fighters die when the fight was not stopped at a time when it is obvious the fighter is taking a physical beating and is losing the fight. Keep it real people, it ain't about having balls, it is about having brains and being considerate of the family and loved ones of the fighter. If you truly care for the fighter, stop it, let him get mad, but he will be alive and get over it.

on that fight, only pacman showed concern for marga-resto. garcia and his gang just loved watching marga-resto got the beating of his life. as if they have an axe to grind against marga-resto for allowing the pacman to complete the demolition.

Yeah, so Antonio proved he has a tough chin and he's a warrior. But for how long does he think getting hit in the face repeatedly without protecting himself is going to last?

The fans don't give a crap about his career. They just want someone to cheer for because he takes a hell of a shot to face and keeps moving forward while his face swells and his eye closes on the way to a huge loss.

So what good is it to catch unlimited leather with your face and still come out losing the fight? At least he gets paid, right?
