Comments Thread For: Audley: 'Tony Thompson Dropped David Haye in Sparring!'

Audley Harrison earlier told Sky Sports News that American southpaw Tony 'The Tiger' Thompson had floored David Haye during sparring sessions for Haye's WBA heavyweight title defence against Audley on November 13th. Thompson was brought over to replicate Audley's style but 'A-Force' claims that the American brought more to the table than Haye could handle, telling Sky that he has heard rumours of Haye struggling with the 6' 5'' boxer.

Wouldn't surprise me if Audley was told to say this to get more interest in the fight.

I've always said that Thompson would whoop Haye's ass if they met.

Of course Thompson is much much better than Audley Harrison.

This supposed to have happened 2 weeks ago, i think we would have heard about it before now if it actually happened.

yes, whether it is true or not, it is not an indication that Haye will struggle with Harrisson...

If Audley fought like he talks, for an Olympic champion, his skill set has eroded. I don't claim to have followed Harrisons career that close, but what I have seen I've spent thinking "god man, do something, anything". It's like he's doing everything he can to not engage. Haye will get knocked cold by someone, unless he retires real soon. It would be funny if it was Audley, he'd be called put simultainiously by every heavyweight in the world.

Thompson would kick Haye`s ass and the Klitschko Brothers both of them. See what Wlad did with Tiger Thompson two years ago.....

                    I agree on this.

He has decent skills, but he is suited for 4 or 6 rounds.

He does not have the workrate at 12 rounds to be dominant. His stamina is lacking, but he is a big guy.
