no malignaggi wasnt in his prime, are u ******ed? and even if he was he was cherry picked, khan fought him cuz malignaggi cant knocka glass of a table with a running start. kotelnik is a average fighter, he caught alexander on a bad night. devon didnt look in good shape and he fought a dumb fight all night, that doesnt make kotelnik a monster. khan had worse nights against lesser oponents.

hes ducked bradley and alexander, i give him credit for taking on maidana though. its something i never thought he would but i was wrong, props to amir for that. if he keeps it up (fighting the best) ill give him all the credit in the world.

styles make fights, would khan beat witter and urango? maybe but he wouldnt knock them out or look as good as alexander did over the course of the fight, theres a good chance he would get put to sleep himself.

And, you said Khan wouldn't look good in beating Urango. I personally think Khan would outbox the hell out of Urango win in a damn near shutout type of fight. He wouldn't KO him, but I think he could win at least 10 rounds against the slow plodder Urango.

While Urango was very competitive and was an evenly fought fight before the KO that Alexander score.

So when did Malignaggi become 'past-prime'?

'Delost Alexander' didn't look that good against Urango. Urango got Alexander timed, was catching up on him and was starting to hit him more often untill that uppercut ofcourse. Alexander doesn't know how to adapt and when you have got him figured out, you basically got the 'W' in the pocket.

Kotelnik isn't an average fighter. He is a B+ in my opinion. He won an Olympic silver medal and beat the likes of: Maidana, (many believe he beat)Witter and M'baye and he beat Alexander.

That's pretty impressive if you ask me.

Like you said yourself: "styles make fights". Just because Amir had an easy fight against Kotelnik doesn't give Alexander any gaurantees that he is gonna have an easy fight too. And oh boy did it show.

i think alexander proved himself enough in his other fights that we can say it wasnt a typical performance against kotelnik on his part. i dont think kotelnik is better than alexander, i see it as a similar thing as what williams went through with quintana. perhaps im wrong, i guess we will find out down the line.

urango was competetive but alexander was in control the entire fight and way up on the scorecards, urangos corner was getting desperate which is why he came out and got caught like he did.
