Comments Thread For: Shumenov-Braehmer Winner Has To Face Cleverly Next

At the WBO's 23rd annual convention, it was reported that a December unification has been approved between WBO light heavyweight champion Juergen Braehmer and WBA champ Beibut Shumenov. The winner of the unification has to fight the mandatory challenger next, Britain's unbeaten contender Nathan Cleverly. The WBO has already approved for Cleverly to fight Alejandro Lakatos for the interim-title on December 11 in Liverpool. If the winner fails to defend against Cleverly, provided that he beats Lakatos, the British fighter can become the full champion.

Sounds good, I like that idea.

However, I would like Shumenov to give Campillo a rematch. That sounds much better to me. But, this is still good.

I agree, Campillo should get a rematch, but Shumenov won't give it to him because he'd get beat again.
Still, this is a good match if it takes place. Shumenov will be Braehmer's toughest opponent since he lost to Garay in 2008.
Anyone know whatever happened to the charges Braehmer faced for beating up that woman in Germany?

            Sukhotsky was Breahmers thoughest opponent.

Its not the first time Breahmer beat a woman........so its not his first time in a trial. It was never a problem for a fight.

Its all about the WBO....I hope the WBA belt won't be vacated.
