Comments Thread For: Povetkin Provided With a Path To Klitschko By The IBF

Several reports in Russia have indicated that the IBF has invited Alexander Povetkin to take part in their four man tournament to crown a new mandatory challenger to champion Wladimir Klitschko. Several other fighters were invited but turned the invitation down for one reason or another, like Alexander Dimitrenko, Denis Boytsov and Jean Marc Mormeck.

How old does Wlad and Vitali have to be to get Povetkin to step up to the plate?

I think it'll be good too for him. He obviously wasn't ready so Teddy did the right thing by making him pull out. he'll get more experience and develop his skills. Then by the time he fights the Klitschko we'll see the best version of him. I'm not saying he wins but atleast it might be more competitive.

I just want good fights and I hope he can give them one.

I don't buy that at all. All Teddy has done is ruin the man's confidence, which is something Teddy is an expert at. Ask Michael Grant.

Dear IBF, I've got a suggestion. Make Povetkin face Chambers, Boytsov or Dimitrenko. If he will not fight any of them - remove him from ratings completely!

LOL, then in that case Diva Gaye should have retired last year. Half the division doesn't want any part of the Klitschkos - they are the most dominant and feared champs in history.
