At this point somebody should simply take anyone associated with the IBF to jail for the way they have handled the super featherweight division. Baloyi just lost a lopsided decision to Fana and is immediately put into another eliminator, at home. Baloyi has fought nothing but eliminators and title fights in South Africa for 4 1/2 years and it never seems to matter if he loses, he just gets another shot, usually against somebody very beatable.

Mendez is underrated this guy has the skill to become champion in more than one division he is a known beast in every gym.Talent wise I don't see no one in the 130 lb that could beat this kids his only lose to me was a robbery in Denver against Sandoval who was save by the bell after a 1st round knock down and refuse to give the kid a rematch according to Top Rank.Im not sure who promote this kid now but I think it Dibella Promotion if so let hope he could get Mendez some big fight and give him the attention that needed as I could see already from this article he not coming out his pocket to save his fighter from going to south Africa ....Mendez need a promoter that not cheap at this time of his career and he will go FAR in this sport I could see him being the next big thing I just hope he stay hungry ....He seem to lose his desire sometime but that could be promotional issue.

That wasn't a robbery man, Mendez clearly lost that. He gassed out early and didn't let his hands go. It sucks because Mendez shouldn't have lost to a guy like that. May have been due to asthma though. I do agree with you in that Mendez is very talented, I do see alot of potential.

I was at the fight and to be it was a robbery.Mendez seem to gas out the last round but i felt he did enough in the early round to win .Also it look like every Top Rank fighter that fought on that card Gas out I don't think it was asthma I think it was more the Altitude cause Brandon Rios was gas out as well and if you know the history of living in Denver you will know what i'm talking about.

Have no doubt Mendez has the goods but winning a decision against Baloyi in S. Africa when the IBF desperately wants to keep the title in S. Africa is going be tough

I agree with this 100%, even if it means feeling the wrath of Hurricane Lou for saying it. But there's no reason for Mendez to be in a position where he'll have to go to South Africa for back to back fights, especially for not-so-overwhelming paydays and in which neither fight will wind up on US airwaves.

And yes for the record, Mendez' lone loss was legit. I say that as someone who has been a fan of his since his amateur days. He hadn't looked impressive in his past couple of fights going into that one, and seemed like even if not on that night, a loss was inevitable and something he needed in order to get his head on straight and career back on track.
