Comments Thread For: Matthew Hatton on Why He Turned Down Saul Alvarez

European welterweight champion Matthew Hatton has finally come out on why he turned down an offer to face unbeaten Saul "Canelo" Alvarez on December 4 in Mexico. Alvarez will now face Lovemore Ndou, who fought Hatton to a draw last year. Hatton returns on November 26 against unbeaten Roberto Belge at the Reebok Stadium. Hatton's overall goal is to land a shot at WBA welterweight champion Viacheslav Senchenko. He wants to emulate older brother Ricky Hatton by winning a world crown. [Click Here To Read More]

It's because Matthew Hatton knew he was cursed after what Alvarez did to Jose Cotto.

Saul "the b-level brother killer" Alvarez

I think Bobby Pacquiao might be in consideration as well.

He doesn't have to worry about losing a decision, there's no way he'd survive 10 rounds with Alvarez if Baldomir couldn't

This fight has to be in England not Mexico, that way Hatton will win a decision even if he gets knocked out.Even Carl Froch knows it that's why he doesnt like going abroad

Are you the only one who doesnt know how Froch refused to go to the Germany because he claimed he would be robbed the way he robbed Dirrel?

Canelo could face prison time for what he'd do to Hatton Jr in a ring, brutal.
