Comments Thread For: Donaire Talks Sidorenko, Bantam Tourney, Montiel, More

It must take a lot of patience being Nonito Donaire Jr. While the 27-year old is widely recognized and respected for his unique blend of talent and skills, there has been a definite waiting game that has been going on with his career. Donaire burst into the spotlight with a July 2007 knockout over brash Vic Darchinyan but failed to seize the momentum afterwards as people have waited excruciatingly for another showcase performance from him.

donaire hasnt done much after his darchinyan win, arum pretty much shelved him. donaire should go after moreno in the spring and montiel in the summer if arum lets him fight montiel...i highly doubt it.

When will people quit making excuses for Donaire? I mean the dude flat out said that he is going to fight Montiel and move up.

So after years of crying that top fighters are ducking him, not only is he is a division that is loaded....that same division is full of guys willing to fight anyone. Then a guy like Agbecko, who is a legit fighter, calls him out and then turns around and says "It's not up to me on who I fight."

Sorry, but am I the only person that sees through Donaire's bull****? Dude would rather live behind a fascade (Top guys ducking him) instead of challenging himself to be great.
