Comments Thread For: Canelo's Brother Lands WBA Shot at Nobuhiro Ishida, 10/9

Rigoberto Alvarez (25-2, 19KOs), the 32-year-old brother of Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, has reached a deal to fight Japan's Nobuhiro Ishida (22-5-2, 7KOs), the current WBA interim-junior middleweight champion on October 9 in Japan. Eddy Reynoso of Canelo Promotions went to Japan and came to a deal with Ishida's manager, Hideo Kanazawa.

Another Tomato Can Killer with a Alvarez last name & campaigning at the same weight class as his brother(Canelo)!! Maybe that's why Canelo said he plans to move down to welter.. Looking at Rigoberto's record the only time he stepped out of Mexico to fight he lost against another piece of S H I T fighter with a 25-14 record & when he tried to step up the game against Rubio he got KO'd..It sounds crazy but it's true, that Rigoberto is known more for being el Canelo's brother than for being a fighter himself, but yet with less fights than his brother(Canelo) & in just 2 of his fights(the Rubio fight & this Ishida fight coming up) he has faced WAY better opposition than his brother Saul(Canelo) who has all the fame even thou he has only faced pure TOMATO CANS & the only known fighters he's faced are Jose Cotto that is WAY SMALLER(in size & reach & from 3 category's lower) that almost KO'd el Canelo & an DEHYDRATED OLD HAS BEEN Baldomir who never had any power or defense to begin with!!

Let's see how this fight turns out since Ishida has never fought out of Japan & this fight is in Mexico(in Alvarez home state to be exact, Jalisco) & Ishida's opposition hasn't been the greatest in the world either..& lately Mexican's have had the better hand over Japanese fighters...

Calling fighters tomato cans is a bit disrespectful...but man, this guy was stopped by friggin Marco Rubio. He can't reach the top of his division, that's for sure.

Ishida is probably the worst "champion" in boxing, and that's saying a lot in a sport that includes Zbik. He's beaten nothing but second-rate opposition to win and defend his "interim title" and now he gets to fight somebody who has never won a single legitimate fight at 154 pounds for the full title. No wonder the WBA stands for World's Biggest Assclowns
