    At Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic, junior welterweight prospect Felix Diaz (7-0, 5 KOs) stopped Alex Perez (23-40, 18KOs) in two rounds. Diaz, 26-years-old and a 2008 Olympic gold medal winner, made his pro debut in June 2009. This was his third stoppage and fourth win of the year. According to reports he is going to try for two more ring appearances in 2010. Perez had lost his last fourteen coming into this contest.

    Well, this kid Felix Diaz seems to have some potential and I think they are developing him just right but I hope the competition gets a little better for him with time. I am not trying to put him down or anything but this guy Perez with 39 losses....are you kidding me? I could have giving Perez a beat down and I'm no boxer! Anyhow, hopefully Felix won't be another Chavez jr. with 1000 wins but with nobodys. Only time will tell.
